Jennifer Aniston ‘Can’t Help’ But Watch Friends Reruns And Neither Can We Tbh
The Debrief: BUT the cast didn’t like the theme tune
Perhaps you’ve had a hard week at the office, or your friends/family/S.O is stressing you out, or basically anything has happened that made you doubt whether you’re actually an adult who has basic life skills, but if you’re like us then nothing cures your woes like junk food, Friends reruns, and denial about your responsibilities.
And we might have company. Jennifer Aniston herself told The One Show that the she does watch old episodes of Friends. Yes, that’s right, while you’re slobbing on the sofa watching ‘The One with the Giant Poking Device’, Jennifer Aniston might be too! You are tangentially connected to Jennifer Aniston. All those times you knew you'd get on really well if you could only meet, you were definitely right.
When asked, our soul sister Jen said ‘Yeah! I can’t help it. First, I’m trying to remember which episode it is and half the time I’m saying to myself, ‘I don’t remember that.’ You get sucked into the nostalgia of it.’ Well I can’t actually remember my Facebook password Jen, so considering there were 236 episodes of Friends, I don’t really blame you.
However, our hearts broke a little bit when she went on to reveal that the theme tune never induced the same child-like happiness in the cast as it does in us. ‘No one was really a big fan of that theme song… we felt it was a little, I don’t know – dancing in a pond? It felt sort of odd. But we did it, because we were told to!’
People on Twitter were also kind of surprised that The One Show managed to get THE Jennifer Aniston on their sofa. Maybe she’s got a crush on Matt Barker like the rest of us.
