1. La La Land



The much-talked about musical following Mia and Sebastian as they try and make it in Hollywood. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling star, it’s a bloody delight.

2. Jackie

Natalie Portman stars in this with what is reportedly the performance of a lifetime. She plays Jackie Onassis in the days and weeks following her husband John F. Kennedy’s assassination.



20th January 

3. Lion 

Dev Patel is back and looking fit but what’s more important is this incredible true story of an Indian boy, adopted by Australians, who uses Google Earth to try and find his family back in Calcutta.

4. Christine 

The seriously shocking true story of news reporter Christine Chubbuck who, after struggling with depression, shot herself live on air in 1974. Rebecca Hall plays Christine.



27th January 

5. Loving 

The true story of an incredible couple – Richard and Mildred Loving, who married in 1958 despite awful laws banning interacial marriage in their home state of Virginia. The two were convicted and continued to fight their case all the way to the Supreme Court.




3rd February

6. 20th Century Women

This semi-autobiographical film tells the story of a boy called Jamie as three women in 1970’s California seek shape and educate him about love and freedom in a world that’s changing fast.

10th February

7. Hidden Figures

How’s this for a cast: Octavia Spencer, Tarji P. Henson, Janelle Monae, Kirsten Dunst and Kevin Costner star in this the untold story of three black woman who worked at NASA and were instrumental in one of the biggest events in history – sending John Glenn into space. It’s got a hell of a soundtrack too – Pharrell, Alicia Keyes, Mary J. Blige…
