You Can Get a Free £100 to Spend at Aldi: Here’s How

The Debrief: A huge food shop at Aldi for free? Tell us more.

It’s now possible to go to UK discount store, Aldi, fill up your trolley with whatever you please, and leave without spending a penny.

This sounds far too good to be true. After all, £100 in the UK’s cheapest supermarket would go a seriously long way - even if you decided to have a little foray into the random middle section that sells everything from mini pancake pans to garden hoses.

So how does it work?

Basically, you can sign up to become a mystery shopper for Aldi on the UKmysteryshopper website, and it’s all totally free.

You have to fill out a questionnaire and complete the registration, and if you’re successful, they’ll give you a £100 gift voucher. Not too shabby.

You’ll need to write down a few comments from your experience at the store, film a brief video review that summarises your written review, and take a few photos as you go around the aisles. So it’s fair to say that it’s not a huge deal of work for enough food supplies to keep you stocked up til Christmas (or, alternatively, some of their huge bottles of prosecco).

Mystery shoppers are widely used across supermarket chains, to anonymously review their experience as a customer. They then write up their feedback to the store and this helps them to improve their service. Aldi and Lidl need mystery shoppers ‘urgently’, so although you have to wait and see if you’ve been selected, it’s definitely worth giving it a go.

So as long as you’re happy to write a quick review of your Aldi experience when you’re done, you could have an absolute bargain of a food shop very soon.
