How To Make A Burger And Fries From Powder. Yes, Powder.
The Debrief: If you like burgers and candy, you might be just as horrified and transfixed as we were when we saw this video...
So #NationalBurgerDay is only once a year, but what about people who’re living that burger life, every single day? Or, in fact, for those living it for infinity, until cows are in shortage and the only thing we have left to eat is powder? Well, because it’s been discovered that there’s no better way to while away your time than using molecularly altered animal bone fibres to ‘make’ miniscule versions of food that is already quite unhealthy, you don’t have to wait until then!
Because Japanese food companies have succeeded in making DIY fast-food kits with a twist – all the food is powder!
Sold in those little colourful packets you might get your ramen or super noodles in, the powder, with a lot of creepy scratching of an plastic ice cream spoon/knife thing and an the assistance of a microwave, turns to food. Not just lumpen porridge food, though, because it seems as if the molecular structure of the powder is such that the 'food' it makes up matches the texture of, say, a plastic version of what the food is meant to look like.
If all of this makes no sense, watch this video.
Nope, still doesn’t make much sense.
