We Tried The Best Affordable Gym Gear On The High Street So You Don't Have To
The Debrief: Who doesn't love an excuse to fill their wardrobe with more sportswear?
I have a slight problem when it comes to buying gym wear. And when I mean slight, I mean a massive problem. I like to buy new running leggings on the regular and my trainer collection is now too big to put on my shoe rack, because I need seven pairs of different support gym trainers, okay? But I know I’m not alone in this obsession.
Gym gear is THE reason to drag your sorry arse out of bed and get to the gym, and there’s no end of high street stuff available to fill your wardrobe with. I trawled the high-street for the best picks of lyrca, from high to low. Whether you’re a patterned tights kind of girl, or prefer all-black, here’s our favourite picks of the best affordable sportswear.
Pretty sweaty in pink
I’m not normally a fan of pink, but for the gym? Why not. Say hello to the outfit you could (probably) get away with wearing to work in the day before you hit up a spin class at night.
Running through rainbows
Black on black on silver
Getting to and from the gym is an absolute nightmare if it’s raining, which it normally is here in grey England. Plus if you're only sporting a small spots bra underneath but can't face riding the bus sans top, this Nike number is the one for you.
Not for the shy
These were made for hip hop spin. To be worn at the front of the class, centre bike in all their glory.
Mesh is the ultimate fabric for HIIT classes when things get just a little bit too hot. All those holes = less sweat.
