Made In Chelsea's Rosie Fortescue Tells Us About An Awesome New Place To Buy Indie Designers
The Debrief: Meet Pretaportobello.com's new initiative, MarketSpace. You can buy stuff from new designers before they make the big time. Nice.
We’ve been fans of Pretaportobello.com for a long while, but now we have another reason to check out the e-store – they’ve just launched a new platform called MarketSpace where you can buy directly from unknown designers before their stuff becomes ridiculously expensive when they make the big time – and, well, none other than Made In Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue has put her name to it.
‘You can shop a whole treasure cove of virtual market stalls hosted by amazing brands you wouldn’t of necessarily heard of,’ says Rosie. ‘This is the perfect place to find those statement pieces you won’t find on the high street, plus it’s all about supporting young design talent and so I’m really proud to be part of such a great initiative.’

The Instant Glam Factor
Hat, £55, Mudu London
‘I can’t get enough of my wide-brimmed fedora by Mudu London, especially with the weather we have been having recently,’ says Rosie. Whether you’re wandering along the Kings Road, or hanging out in your pokey flat in Brixton, this is an instant outfit glamorizer.
Clutch, £26, Little by Little
Check out this cobalt furry clutch from Little by Little, another of Rosie’s faves. We love their range of small bags that look way more expensive than they actually are.
The Jewellery You Won’t See Everyone Wearing
Earrings, £30, Wolf & Moon
We love the idea of finding jewellery that doesn’t cost the earth but doesn’t come from Topshop either, to avoid those awkward ‘snap’ moments at work. ‘Wolf & Moon is seriously worth checking out. I love the clean lines and geometric designs,’ says Rosie.
Tunic, £26, Born on Main Street
Born on Main Street is one of the cool new brand on MarketSpace that uses vintage materials to make new clothes, like this metallic tunic. Wear it as a T-shirt dress on a Friday night, or tuck it into a trouser suit for work.
