8 Instagram Inspired Outfits You Need For The (Sunny) Week Ahead
The Debrief: It's going to be another weird weather week, but we're here to take the pain out of your OOTDs...
So apparently it’s going to rain, be warm, then be cold, then the sun might come out. All in a week. So here are some outfit ideas we’ve shamelessly stolen from Instagram that will take the pain out of your mornings and put some style into your OOTDs instead.
Do the fringe
Fringing is everywhere this season. Make it minimal for an easy way in to this tricky trend. If you fancy a bit of DIY, here’s how to add fringing to your jeans, but would also work for a top à la Berta Bernad.
Black can work in summer
There’s little sexier than all black + flesh. Wear your winter blacks, but swap out the tights for bare legs and day-appropriate heels.
Match your lippy to your sunnies
Make statement red sunnies work with a matching bold lip, by pairing the whole thing with a minimal silhouette. Perfect for weekends spent lounging in the park with a matching bottle of rosé.
Double denim is nothing new for the Instagram aware, with every blogger having their own take. One of our favourite London girls, Freddie, has nailed the trend with an open shirt and cut-off shorts with a killer pair of grandles (grandad sandles, FYI).
Seventies detail is a winner
Pandora Sykes shows us that you can never over-do the detail with seventies suede and cotton. Zara has a great selection of peasant shirts this summer that will answer your needs.
Boyfriend shirt, for if you don’t have a boyfriend
Embrace a blue Monday
For a put-together work look, stride in tomorrow in a long blouse over ripped jeans and heels. No one will mess with you today.
Girly up top, tomboy down below
Monochrome sneakers toughen up an angelic summer dress, as well as take the comfort level from 0-10.
