If single people have Tinder, then why shouldn’t couples have their own app? Luckily, some bright spark already thought of that – and has thought up the world’s worst app ever. The Couple app was made a year ago, but now it's reached 1 million downloads, we thought it was worth telling you about. We're sorry.
The app is basically a jazzed-up Whatsapp, providing lots of way to be really smarmy with your boyfriend or girlfriend. Not only can you take photos of yourselves having special 'moments' – so special, you have to take a photo to show off about it later – but you can also send each other little doodles and you can do this grotesque ‘thumb kiss’ thing. That’s where you and your partner both put your thumb on your respective iPhone screens and, once both in contact, the screens vibrate.
Yes, the bleak irony is that the people who have downloaded this app actually have someone in the world who loves them. And, yes, we’ve come another step further to living the plotline of Her. On the plus side, if you do get this app, the best part is you could completely eviscerate all of your digital memories with just a few taps. Right?
