Twitter Replaces Stars With Hearts. World Loses Shit
The Debrief: If you didn't already wear your heart on your sleeve, it's now all over your bloody Twitter profile.
Wednesday 3rd November 2015 marks a momentous day. A day that no one is likely to forget for a long time. It was the day that Twitter eschewed the star 'favourite' and replaced it with the heart 'like'. In one simple tweet, Twitter changed the landscape of their social media platform for eternity and people promptly lost their shit. A big, big day we're sure you'll agree.
Because people don't like change. Deep down, we're all just creatures of habbit. Apparently if you really really hate it, you can change the heart to any emoji you like using a browser add on, so there's that. But really, who's got the time? And does it still show as a heart to the other person? For all you know, you could be going around sticking your middle finger up at people whilst they think you're smothering them with love. It's a tricky business.
Here's how some people reacted to the news...
It's like someone died
