There's A Polish School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry And We Want To Go NOW
The Debrief: Yes, it's exactly like Hogwarts and if you're a Harry Potter fan, then prepare to lose your shit...
Oh my god, Poland have outdone themselves and created an immersive live-action roleplay experience in a castle where you can go and be a part of what is essentially Hogwarts. If you're not a Harry Potter fan then a) why did you click on this and b) go read something else, because we're about to start fangirling for around 200 words.
OK so firstly, the College of Wizardry (OMG) is where Polish and Danish volunteers bring together Harry Potter fans from all over the world to reenact the closest we can feasibly get to the magical world, while being placed squarely in the muggle one. For the first four day session, over 200 role players came together to play teachers and students in the Czocha Castle and they've worked hard to make it as magical as possible.
You get sorted into one of five houses (Durentius, Faust, Libussa, Molin, and Sendivogius) in the sorting ceremony, obviously, before taking classes towards sitting your S.P.E.L.L exams (Senior Protective Enchanter’s Lifelong License, in case you were wondering) - which are way harder than N.E.W.Ts. And if you don't know what N.E.W.Ts are, then we're not explaining it. This is a place only for Potterfans, thanks.
The first four day experience took place in November, with the second scheduled for April 9-12 and costing €280 - yeah, we've already emailed begging for a place. For anyone wondering about transport, sadly you have to arrange your own travel, and don't get picked up by a magical train from King's Cross. Which is understandable, if disappointing.

You might want to think about the fact you're about to read something that wouldn't exactly get a PG rating
