Man On Tinder Sends Woman Panda Facts For 100 Days. Then Never Contacts Her Again.
The Debrief: The ultimate cautionary Tinder dating fable for our times?
Who said romance was dead? Nothing says 'I'm sorry for being shit at spelling' like apologising with a Panda fact on Tinder every day for 100 days.
100 days of Tinder
The man called Michael spoke on Imgur under the name msang12321 explaining that 'I matched with this girl on Christmas and then I messed up by spelling 'Christmas' wrong. I didn't know what to do, so I panicked. I did what any sensible person would do...I sent her a Panda fact.' Can't argue with that logic.
If someone had propositioned me with a barrage of Panda facts, I probably would have swiftly unmatched or just enjoyed the facts without responding. However, the girl called Chrissy, absolutely loved the messages.
The tale takes a different turn; after months of Panda themed messages, her 100 days were up and he told her 'It's been a good run. I wish you a fun, Panda-filled life. Peace out Panda scout'.
She responded with a cry of 'NO DON'T GO'.
The Tinder messages are endearing and make you feel warm and fuzzy inside- maybe this is just because Pandas are adorable and any correspondence is made better by their inclusion. That being said, why did their romance end there? This could have been the best story to tell at their wedding? They could of gone on a date to the Zoo, or for an anniversary gift adopt her a Panda...so many opportunities lost.
What's even more confusing, is that on his Imgur profile he begins the story with 'I'm not good at talking to girls'; well msand12321 this girl thought you were. After 100 days of courting you'd at least think he'd take her out for a drink?
Maybe 100 days of Panda facts set the bar too high and he just didn't think he'd be able to top that gesture.
