A Stern Reminder Why You Should Never Keep A Gun In Your Bra
The Debrief: Just because there's a bra gun holster on sale, it doesn't mean you should actually use it.
In today's 'never put a gun in your bra' news, a woman in America kept her gun in a bra holster and, while adjusting it, shot herself in the face and died.
Christina Bond was taken to a hospital in Michigan earlier this year - but it's just been revealed that she died from shooting herself in the eye after fiddling with her gun and looking down to see what she was doing. 'She was having trouble adjusting her bra holster, and couldn’t get it to fit the way she wanted it to,' said Mark Clapp, who heads the police force in the city of St Joseph. 'She was looking down at it and accidentally discharged the weapon,'
Our first question, though, was: how the hell are bra holsters a thing? But, then again, this is America we're talking about, where firearms are legal and people wander around with guns in their lingerie like it's a normal thing. The holster in question is called a Flashbang, is sold for $50, and clips to the front of the bra between your boobs. In order to get the gun out, you have to use your non shooting hand to pull the Flashbang away from your body while you pull the gun down and out of the bottom of your top which, as the manufacturer helpfully points out, 'presents the attacker with a major distraction while allowing you to access and utilise your firearm'.
This tragedy sadly offsets the bra-related miracle that occured last week, when a woman in Brazil dodged death after a bullet ricocheted off her underwire. Seems like bras and guns don't mix, guys.
