Harry Styles Drops Insanely Amazing Vintage Another Man Magazine Covers On Instagram
The Debrief: But what does it mean
The saga that is Harry Styles: The Solo Career may still be in its formative months but the newly single (calm down, we’re talking musically) One Direction star has already got the whole world on tenterhooks waiting to hear what his first foray into independent life will sound like.
While Zayn very much did a Robbie, going for sultry sex appeal and launching himself as a modern motorbike riding, tattoo covered crooning casanova, it appears that Hazza is not going to let himself be typecast in such a way. Especially before he even releases any music.
To prove it, the 22-year-old has just dropped not one but three magazine covers for his upcoming interview with Paul McCartney and Chelsea Lately star Chelsea Handler in Another Man. Shot by American photographer Ryan McGinley, the magazine will hit shelves on the 29th September - that’s this Thursday.
Promising ‘Elvis Presley, punk pin-ups and a special document curated by Harry’ each cover shows Mr Styles in vintage attire in what looks like references to both Mick Jagger and The Beatles.
Over the weekend Styles teased his Instagram followers with three blank white images - sparking excitement over a forthcoming single drop/ concern that he had vanished/ all sorts of conspiracy theories.
The whole white-image on Instagram thing has become synonymous with artists dropping big news - thanks in part to A$AP Rocky, who’s a big fan of the move himself. Coincidentally, that’s not all A$AP and Harry have in common, with recent rumours flying around about a romance being struck up between A$AP and one of Harry’s rumoured love-interests, a one Miss Kendall Jenner.
But hey, man, we’re not here to talk about romance, we’re here to talk about the music. And the music-message we’re getting from these covers is this: whatever Direction Harry’s career goes in next, it’s going to be, like, really BIG.
But we could have told you that anyway.
