Meanwhile, Britney Spears Is Posting Workout Videos To Instagram And Living Her Best Life
The Debrief: It’s somewhere between yoga, pilates and an elaborately stretchy dance routine
Britney Spears is great. Period. Amid the various celebrity dramas of the world and all this talk of snakes and the MTV VMAs, we’ll do well to remember the brilliance of Britney’s ‘I’m A Slave 4 U’ performance with an actual living, breathing snake way before social media was a real Thing and Taylor Swift bore any sort of relevance to our day to day lives. But also, we’ll do even better to take a minute to check in what the original princess of pop has been up to of late.
If you take a trip over to Britney Spears’ Instagram, you’ll see that she, much like Beyoncé, is also a big fan of the sub-30second video montage. Her frequent focus of choice, however, is her workout routine. This, it seems, is how she maintains perhaps the most famous mid-drift in the game...
Brit's just out here living her best life, giving lessons in how to pout while working out, doing downward dog with her own music for a soundtrack. No big deal, but we're here for it.
There's nothing quite as satisfying as a really shit video montage as made by one of the most successful pop stars in the world. Especially when said montage features the idyllic backdrop of the beautiful Californian country side juxtaposed with a cheeky little snapshot of said pop star practicing those all important back flips in what looks like a pretty standard High School gymnasium. All to the sound of Eve's 'Tamborine'...
And then there was this one time a few months ago when Britney posted another 'humble workout post' with her hair tied up with a scrunchie, wearing what definitely looks like denim cut offs which is everything you could possibly ask for from a snippet of Britney Spears branded #Gympiration, don't you think?
Keep doing you Brit. Keep doing you.
