It's only a matter of time before they're made totally illegal everywhere, right? RIGHT?!

Selfie Sticks Are Banned At Two Of The World's Biggest Festivals

Planning to go to Coachella or Lollapalooza with your selfie stick? Not anymore, you're not. After Australia Soundwave banned them earlier this year, Coachella and Lollapalooza became the next two festivalsto forbid anyone from taking the perfect hands-free (sort of) pic.

Lollapalooza’s FAQs on the website states that there should be no 'GoPro attachments like sticks, selfie sticks & monopods', while Coachella’s official site says, a little more specifically, '[No] Selfie sticks/Narcissists'.

'Most of them are pointed at the stage with kids taking photos. But I think the one that kind of put it in perspective for me was there was a band set going and a young girl pointed it at herself. It took every fibre of resistance I had not to just grab the stick off her and kick her out,' said Soundwave promoter Aj Maddah. 'It is just the ultimate expression of narcissism.'

The incredibly annoying (and baffling) devices have already been banned from major music venues such as O2 Academy Brixton, London’s O2 Arena and the SSE Wembley Arena - so it's only a matter of time before Glasto takes a stand too, right? And then they become completely illegal. Apart from when your gran tries to use one, because that's hilarious.
