Since 1995, Internet Explorer has been there for us with varying degrees of success - but now Microsoft have announced it'll be phasing out the browser, and replacing it with an as yet unnamed replacement built into Windows 10. Once the go-to way to 'surf the internet' (remember when people said 'surf the internet), it was riddled with issues that provoked hundreds of memes and disgruntled internet users reporting loss of work, slow loading and general shitness. Firefox pretty much sounded the IE death knell, but that doesn't mean we don't still sort of love it in a nostalgic way. It housed many an MSN flirtation, MySpace profile stalking session and does anyone else remember Mykindaplace.com? That was a great site. That was generally accessed via Internet Explorer.
