Markus Lupfer has always rocked the cute statement jumpers, not forgetting this sweatshirt with gummy bears on it.At this season’s show, the theme once again was cute animals, including cat themed hats and IRL bunnies.

Backstage we caught up with Markus himself and being a jumper genius, we asked his views on the roll-neck jumper, a firm favourite of ours. ‘I love it because of the sillhouette it shows,’ he told us. ‘It’s modern while remaining classic.’ Hear hear.

Here are 7 things we loved from the show:

1. The Looped Pony-Tail

Hair was kept simple to give an ‘assured and mature’ look by hair stylist Halley Brisker, who has collaborated with Markus for a few seasons. Bumble & bumble Prep primer was used, followed by Bumble & bumble Repair Blow Dry for dry hair serum-in-creme. Two pieces of hair were taken from the front and then looped at the very bottom by a piece from the nape of the model’s neck. Very light use of product and a simple diffuser was used over the top to set the look. Nice.**

2. Sparkly Beanie Hats

These chic beanies are the ultimate smart/casual look. The type of beanie you could totally wear to a fancy party and not get weird looks.

3. The Floral Sunnies

These sunnies are ready-to-wear, with big transparent frames inset with with white flower shapes. These statement sunnies look so achievable,we wanted a pair asap for our upcoming holidays abroad (or even a trip to the park).

4. The White Fluffy Bunnies

Yes, there were IRL fluffy bunnies in large goldfish bowls hanging from the ceilings. But the bunnies looked very happy, nibbling away on their food ,and there was even a lady at the show who checked on them to see if they were OK. So this made us feel relaxed while we Instagrammed and cooed over the #cutebunnies.

5. English-Rose Make-Up

We went backstage and caught up with Bobbi Brown make-up artist Lucy, who talked us through the make-up look. ‘The Markus Lupfer girl is young, youthful and fresh, but the big, bold eyelashes give her a more confident edge.’

And what about the theme of the make-up? ‘It’s fresh, and natural. But it’s kinda like the girl has been in and out of the woods, playing and walking and running – we wanted her to look a little flustered.’ Like she’s just had sex maybe? Awkward silence

6. The Vegetable Decor

Carrots! Carrots everywhere. There was carrot juice on arrival, as well as lots of carrots hanging from the ceiling.

7. Glittery Trainers

Trainers can be dull but not when you’re Markus Lupfer. The trainers were a cool twist to the mature patterns with a bit of sparkle around the toe. They kind of make us want to go running with disco music playing in the background.
