Aries1 of 12

Aries

As an Aries (March 21st-April 19th), you’re a keen trend-setter looking for a striking style that makes an immediate impact. You’re also all about being ready for battle, able to take on anything that comes at you, so you will want a low-maintenance style that you can do without any fussing or faffing. You’re keen to try new things and be ahead of the game, like a fast and easy choppy bob a la Jourdan Dunn. Your key products? A salt spray to rough up your tousled tresses.

Taurus2 of 12

Taurus

Being a Taurus (April 20th-May 20th), you’re all about sensuality and luxury. You will want a style that shows off the good quality and condition of your glossy locks, that looks tactile and seductive. The Taurus sign is also associated with the neck and the throat, so a sexy style that shows off those parts, like Antonio Berardi’s whispy chignons, is ideal. Buy yourself a fine tooth comb and some subtle hair grips to master the slightly-falling-out chignon.

Gemini3 of 12

Gemini

Gemini (21st May-20th June) is the sign of the twins, so the double pony tail, seen at Whistles for SS15, is the perfect style for you. As a Gemini you’re also easily bored, so you need a style that is versatile and can be adapted - easily achieved by whipping out the lower hair tie to achieve a half up half down look, and then popping it back in on a whim. Known for your wit and quirky humour, you might also want to consider a kooky hair accessory that makes you smile.

Cancer4 of 12

Cancer

Your hairstyle (21st June- 22nd July) should be all about how it makes you feel, more than what it looks like. You’re likely to want a fairly traditional style that is comfortable and makes you feel great, such as this relaxed, shaggy bun style seen at Bottega Veneta. It’s a cinch to pull off, just scrape your hair back into a low bun that doesn’t pull at your hair and give you that ballet-bun headache.

Leo5 of 12

Leo

A Leo’s (23rd July-22nd August) hairstyle will always make a statement, drawing attention and putting them centre-stage. You’re likely to choose bold colour, especially red, so now might be the time to re-consider your colouring routine, or adding in bright extensions. You’re also probably going to want to recreate a mane that suits your feisty personality, with bouncy curls or back-combing. Try Chanel’s epic colourful braids using scraps of bright fabric, mixed with crimped or curled sections.

Virgo6 of 12

Virgo

Virgos (23rd August-22nd September) are sensual but also practical, seeking no-nonsense perfection that allows you to get on with life while still being neat and complex. Try an intricate basket weave plait, which will keep your hair out of your eyes while looking sleek and efficient. If you’ve got highlights, the cross weave looks even more impressive. Get yourself an adjustable mirror so that you can check out what’s going on on top while you do the fiddly twiddly bits.

Libra7 of 12

Libra

For Libras (23rd September-22nd October), hairstyles should be a work of art. You’re all about balance and harmony, keen to be well-groomed an elegant, almost minimal, but with artistic creativity at play. This long pony with crimped sections feels more interesting than a boring pony-tail, but still has a graceful air about it. Crimping is 100% back for summer, so it’s worth investing in a crimping iron and some chic, clear hair ties.

Scorpio8 of 12

Scorpio

Sagittarius (22nd November-21st December) is a fire sign, and Sagittarians are keen to be at the height of fashion - you love colour and drama and have a spontaneous edge. You’re prone to travelling and flitting off unpredictably, so a messy, almost sporty style would suit your fast paced lifestyle. Try the edgy plaits seen at Vera Wang which you can braid up in seconds, using a texturising dust to muss up the ends.

Capricorn10 of 12

Capricorn

Capricorns (22nd December-19th January) are ambitious, you’re the real power dressers among us and you want your hairstyle to explain that you’re going places. A minimalist, severe style that is impressive in its precision is likely to appeal to you, like a straight centre parting and a tight bun at the nape of your neck. Buy yourself a big can of hairspray to control fly aways that will detract from your ‘I mean business’ look.

Aquarius11 of 12

Aquarius

As an Aquarius (20th January-18th February), you’re keen on innovation, drawn to futuristic and asymmetric styles. You’re likely to experiment as you’re not scared of sticking your neck out, and sometimes people might think you’ve missed the mark but actually you’re just ahead of your time. You’re also drawn to shiny things, so you might want to experiment with Ashish’s glitter-tastic look for SS15. Buy holographic powder that you can dust over freshly hair-sprayed hair.

Pisces12 of 12

Pisces

If there is a sign that is drawn to fantasy and romantic glamour, then it’s Pisces (19th February-20th March). You’re a bit of a dreamer, keen to let your locks flow a la Rapunzel. Use a pair of heated tongs to create random, loose curls and keep products to a minimum. You’re aiming for a casual princess vibe.
