If you thought Kim Kardashian’s bum news was the only big bum news going around right now, you’d be sorely mistaken because there is some other booty news going down in the form of Taylor Swift’s supposedly lacking gluteals.

Diplo, the producer (who is going out with Katy Perry who has a bit of a feud going on with Taylor Swift right now! Ooooh!) posted a tweet declaring: ‘Get Taylor Swift A Booty’ with a link to a crowdfunder called Fundly. The premise is short and sweet, with the short blurb ‘Taylor Swift Still Needs Your Help! Any true supporter of TSWIFT would definitely not pass up this opportunity to improve her posterior! Spread The Word If You Believe In Magic!’

The campaign has $45 so far, 23 ‘supporters’ and has raised a whopping $45 (£28.53) of its $3,500 (£2,218.77) goal.

The thing is, Taylor Swift doesn’t need a new butt. She has a bum and it does what bums are meant to do – cushion us when we sit down.

Lorde, who has worked with Diplo on some songs, wasn’t happy with his crass exercise in telling women they’re here to please men’s ideals, and tweeted him this super-sassy reply:

Lorde’s got herself quite a reputation as ‘defender of bums’ recently, and not just her pal Taylor’s. She tried to explain to Perez Hilton that by re-tweeting that photo of Kim Kardashian’s bum in Paper magazine with the comment ‘mom’ she wasn’t trying to point out that Kim has a duty to North West to not pose naked in magazines North West is too young to read anyway.

The idea of Lorde being team Kimmy K might strike you as weird, but the 18-year-old New Zealander regularly gushes about Kanye West, and has even had her latest song, _Yellow Flicker Bea_t, remixed by the rapper/producer.

But... it turns out that ‘mom’ means ‘cool’? We’re into that. That’s so mom. Lorde is so mom.
