It’s Time To Take Inspiration From How Style Blogger Amarachi Ukachu Rocks Mad Colours And Prints

There are three things about Amarachi Ukachu’s blog that make us love her. One is her clothes, two is her ability to find locations that make her clothes look even more awesome, and three is her hair. The 24-year-old stylist from Washington describes her style as a blend of bohemian and African culture, but we describe it as ‘how we would dress if we were brave enough’.

Which is why we asked Amarachi for her top tips for clashing prints and colours...

**Don’t Be Afraid To Clash

Our favourite thing about Amarachi is the fact that she can pull off a bright yellow dress covered in fish paired with a cobalt clutch and shocking red stilettos. Few people have fashion balls like that. If you don’t have the same innate confidence required for wearing eye-catching stuff, Amarachi recommends you start with baby steps.

‘Try just mixing textures then working your way into small prints first,’ she tells The Debrief.

‘Being a certain size should not prohibit you from wearing any particular style,’ Amarachi says. ‘I don’t think there are particular rules for flattering a fuller figure, but if there are, just remember that rules are meant to be broken.’

**Use A Common Colour To Complement Everything You’re Wearing

‘When I'm wearing prints I try to make sure the prints have at least one color in common,’ explains Amarachi. That would be why these polka dots and stripes look so awesome together then. Also, did we mention how much we love that hair?

**Go All Out Diva When Necessary

When you hit the beach, a bikini isn’t enough. You need a kaftan with a full-on train.

**Hunt Down One-Offs

**

Amarachi uses neon stilettos to highlight her unusal monochrome printed trench coat.

‘I find my one-of-a-kind pieces at unexpected places. Your best bet would be to check out eBay or flea markets and thrift stores in your area,’ she tells us.
