Fashion Week’s Given Us The Autumn Blues – In A Totally Good Way

It's not just navy that the street stylers at Fashion Week are all over

We’ve pretty much kissed goodbye to summer but that didn’t mean sunny sky blue was off the agenda at Fashion Week. Alongside street-style stalwart navy (an inky sweater is practically as obligatory in fashion as it is in the er, Navy), there was cobalt, purpley forget-me-not, and powdery blues the colour of Dot Cotton’s eyeshadow.

Flashy trainers were a particularly big deal this London Fashion Week (God love the women who originally broke the heels-at-shows rule) and there couldn’t be a better way to wear a major colour like cobalt blue than sticking it on your feet. You can keep your outfit serious on top, with a party on the bottom, so to speak.

And what a pleasing sight a pastel sweater or jacket is worn with relaxed grey separates or light denim files under what to wear with wide-leg trousers. Speaking of pale blue, it’s a colour that’s made repeat appearances at the shows so far, most recently at yesterday’s Fendi show, where the palette looked set for an ‘it’s a boy!’ baby-shower, so there’s even more reason to get ahead and wear it now.

Whadaya know, we’ve found a load that you can shop already…
