You've probably seen Hailey Baldwin via Kendall Jenner's Instagram, dressed in a matching leopard print bikini. Or perhaps you've seen the pap shots of the childhood BFFs pouting around town, in identikit ripped jeans/rock tee and ankle boots. As blonde and full-lipped as Kendall is dark and lithe, 18-year-old Hailey Baldwin (daughter of Stephen Baldwin) is an emerging it girl on the next gen LA scene.
More importantly though, the burgeoning star in her own right (she's signed by major modelling agencies Ford in LA and Elite in London) has got a grungey casual style down to pat. We look beyond Hailey's choppy bob and celeb pals to her wardrobe, for this week's Debrief Dissects.
Porcelain skin + red lipstick
It's a formula tried and tested by Courtney Love - and by god red lipstick works well with an all-black, leather-heavy outfit and bright blonde hair. Tons of silver rings on her finger and a look that says, 'do I look like I give a shit?' We wish we'd had it that together when we were teenagers.
Try a bomber in peachy satin
Bomber jackets are still riding high and a blush pink satin one offers a new trend on a recognised trend. We even like the geek chic glasses. Jury's out on whether they're prescription or not.
Add biker to boho
A patterned flared dress is pat bohemian, but when you add some chunky black biker boots? You get something much more 90s. Like all teenage girls with a modicum of sass, Hailey's big into the 90s. And so are we.
If you're going to do 'off duty' keep it easy
Olivia Palermo is never believably off duty (in fact, is she ever off duty at all?) but Hailey's genuinely low-key here, in a way that nails casual cool. Rag & Bone's popular Newburgh ankle boots are paired with super ripped jeans, a Hollywood vibes tee and a simple gold necklace. A slicked back pony gives it the edge.
Try a button down shirt under your leopard tee
This is a great way to preppify leopard printand leather: a blue chambray button-down shirt offers a totally new angle on a tried-and-tested badass combination.
**Pair killer heels with a loose dress **
With a modus operandi that integrates sexy elements but never commits fully to the polished look,. Hailey's lace-up pointed stilettos are the definitive Fuck Me heels, but her loose black shirtdress and checkered Topshop duster coat keep things chilled - rather than overly sexy.
