We can’t tell you how happy it makes us when we find a Voguette who is as déshabillé as she is stylish. Sure, Alba Galocha is a famous Spanish model, Vogue España blogger and all-round Insta-famous babe, but she’s also frequently seen in DMs with one sock, cute plaits, vintage tees and minimal make-up. Call us crazy (as if) but we’ll take this mode of scrappy continental dress over a laquered version any day. Which is why she’s the subject of this week’s Debrief Dissects.

It’s all in the throwaway details

Clearly there is much greatness in a lipstick red leather jacket, a breton top and oversized vintage jeans (ie faultless), but what we really love is the random shoes (are they clogs?), the one sock (what happened to the other guy? Did he lose the fight?), and the diddy plaits tucked* into* her neckline. God this chick is cool. And cute. We’re not saying deliberately wear one sock – that’s horribly contrived. But screw symmetry, basically.

Black is best on the beach

Black looks so much more badass in summer. It’s something about the addition of sunglasses. A pair of black cut-off denims and a black cropped tee are somehow aeons cooler than a blue pair and a white tee. Why? We can’t answer your existential questions, OK. We just know it looks good, especially when it matches your ink.

**Girl it up in gingham **

If you’re not a girlie girl but you want to do a co-ord, then this is how to do it. A navy tee and pencil skirt combo is kept fuss-free with some simple silver sandals and a bare face. Gingham is the new stripes. Or the new tartan. Or maybe it’s just the best thing this summer. Luckily, there’s tons of it around.

DMs are timeless

We love Alba’s Spanish take on British grunge. Fishnet tights and DMs are very Camden Lock, but Alba owns it in a pleated liberty print shirt dress, crew neck sweater and some bunchy athletic socks, Saved By The Bell style.

Go Doillon casual

This outfit is pure Lou Doillon – showing the Gallic influence also playing a part in Alba’s style direction. A vintage T-shirtand some black slacks with Adidas’ Stan Smiths is an under-stated but very contemporary brand of red carpet chic. Works for us.

But sometimes stick to the classics

This is pure Vogue España señorita, as Alba keeps it slick and chic for the Louis Vuitton catwalk show at Paris fashion week with monochrome and silver sandals. The catflick eyeliner and ankle tatts add the subtly rebellious Alba touches.
