There's never been any question that Lindsay Lohan has done stellar work as an actress (you only have to watch The Parent Trap to see her thespy chops), but somewhere along the way booze, drugs and wayward parents got in the way and Lindsay was often seen as a 'risky choice' when it came to movies.

You may have wondered why Linds has now been in London for ages. Well, it turns out she's getting ready to appear in David Mamet's (yes, Zosia's dad) play Speed-the-Plow which opens in November in the West End.

Speaking to the Times, Lindsay said that she's shitting herself about the upcoming production but also looking forward to it: 'It's the first time I've done a stage play or anything like that,” she said. “I'm nervous but I'm excited.'

We last saw her as the subject of the docu-seriesLindsay, which aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network in the US and followed the actress as she left rehab and tried to get her life back together in New York City.

Maybe this will be the role that gets her back in the minds of every casting director out there. Like Oprah, we want Lindsay to win, and if she wins in the West End we would be very happy.
