We've all met that person who just can't stand Kim Kardashian and her reality TV behemoth of a family. That person who, instead of just averting their eyes and ears, will still read every single story going about Kim, just so they can know enough about her to voice exactly why they hate her. The type of person who'll condemn her for appearing in a sex tape, but will have definitely watched it themselves. However, very few of us will have met the man who is so scared of Kim he feels sick every time he sees a picture of the famous-for-being-famous celebrity.

'Just hearing the sound of the Kardashians' nasal voices or catching a glimpse of them on screen makes me feel nauseous and shaky,' says 24-year-old Mike Arness, from Exeter. 'My hands get clammy, my breathing gets heavier and I start sweating. Sometimes, I get teary and want to retch.'

Why on earth would Kim and the rest of her family make him feel sick? Actually, physically sick? Well, it's all because he felt obliged to watch Kim's sex tape – the one filmed with Ray J, you know, Brandy's little brother – after realising he was gay, aged 17.

In denial about his sexuality, Mike forced himself to watch the whole thing and 'really wanted to be aroused by it'. However, it didn't work out like that. He explains: 'I was raised Catholic and, growing up, I tried to repress my sexuality and deny that I was gay.

'Loads of the boys at school were going on about how good Kim Kardashian's sex tape was. I thought I'd give it a watch in the hope it would turn me on.

'I downloaded the video and watched it secretly in my bedroom. But the sight of Kim writhing around with her huge bum and the sound of her horrible high-pitched wailing repulsed me.

'I really wanted to be aroused by her so I kept watching it, but she made me feel more and more upset.'

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he added: 'By the end of the tape, I had burst into tears. The experience left me terrified and I never wanted to see Kim's face again. I have come to terms with my homosexuality now, but my dread towards her has never left.'

In the interview, he also explains that:

As ridiculous as it seems, though, it's totally viable that he's just got a really horrible memory of trying to suppress his sexuality. Next time you hear someone tell you the Kardashian family make you sick, remember this guy, who actually does chuck up at the mere sight of them.
