There's a nude photo of Emma Stone doing the rounds on the internet, and Emma wants you to know that it is not realat all. Her friends have spoken out to insist that the picture - which has gone viral - bares no relation to her friend.

For research purposes (safe in the knowledge that Emma's privacy and dignity have not been compromised in the photo) we checked out the picture. (We're not going to link out to this one - you know your way around Google should you so desire). It's of a naked woman taking a photo of herself in a bathroom mirror. And yes, it does really look a lot like Emma Stone, when she had dark hair.

However, the phone the woman is taking the photo with looks to be an iPhone 5S. And those only came out in September 2013. And Emma's had blondish gingery hair over the past year while filming yet another Spiderman film with boyfriend Andrew Garfield. So, unless she can time travel or likes to wear wigs, it's probably not her.

Now that's cleared up let's hope a naked selfie of Emma never does surface in the future. She's made it very clear she doesn't want her nudity to be for public consumption: 'My dad would kill me if I posed naked,' she told The New Zealand Herald all the way back in 2011. 'He wouldn't speak to me again and I really love my dad, so that's always something that makes me a little nervous.'
